Happy Birthday Bryce!
(See the large grin on his face- he is always smiling!)
Today is July 7th and twenty years ago a beautiful brown haired, dimpled little "Baby Brother Bryce" was born. We are so blessed to have him as a part of our family.
On Friday, Bryce had a physical therapy appointment that didn't go so well. A week ago Thursday, he slipped and pulled something in his hip that has been giving him some greif since the incident. He was able to catch himself with his hand which kept him from falling, but the motion still left him in pain. His bursitis has swelled up again and he is so sore, even to touch his hip. So, we had a surprise visit with Dr West after we met with the therapists. He decided to have Bryce start an oral steroid pack to help him get back on track. (To also reduce the swelling and pain.) Dr West reassured Bryce that this is only temporary and that he would be feeling much better in a couple of weeks.
On Saturday we were able to go to Salt Lake to the Grand America Hotel and see the Independence Week History Museum. That was absolutely amazing! I would have loved to take some photos, but cameras were not allowed. Follow the link to see some of the amazing things we were able to see in the museum. click here: Glenn Beck
We had arrived at the hotel around 11:00 and our tour was scheduled for 11:30. We headed toward the museum, when much to our surprise, heading toward us was Glenn Beck! He said, "Hello Guys!" Then he walked past me and straight for Bryce, who was riding in his wheelchair and he shook Bryce's hand and said, "Hello there! Thanks for coming." Bryce was on cloud nine. For a brief moment, all of his pain in his hips was gone because of the excitement. He was wearing an even larger grin for rest of the day.
We will be back at the pool again on Monday and we are looking forward to getting Bryce back to where he was before the slip. (He was getting around pretty well with one crutch or no crutch for short distances.)
We are grateful for this amazing country we live in and for the blessings we receive daily. We have felt the Lord guiding us on this journey. Bryce has been blessed with a great attitude and love for others and knows of the love the Lord has for him. He has been an amazing example to our family.
