Alma 43: 45, 49-50

Dear Family,

It is great to hear from all of you guys. Things down here are going really great. Yeah, we had a great Fast Sunday yesterday, we went over time by like 20 minutes with all the testimonies. It was great. The Bishop wasn't really sure what to do. People just kept on coming up.

Well, I have really grown to love the people here. We had a companion exchange for a day, the other day, and it actually went pretty well. I didn´t want to have the exchange because I love my companion and we work really well together.  But, it was a really neat experience.  We went and taught some families and I grew to love every single one of them. I also learned that when you truly love the people, you can bear a more powerful and effective testimony. The Spirit was really strong when we taught. Yeah, the only bad thing that really happened was that I ate something that I had an allergic reaction to. I had a ton of big red hives all over my chest and stuff. It wasn´t very fun. Oh well, I am fine now.

Yeah, there are two families that are recent converts that we are still meeting with and they are great. They are the families Diaz, and Gutierrez. They are really great people. The other day the Diaz family had a birthday party for their little girl Paola (who turned 5) when we stopped by. The girls would have loved the party. It was based off of Snow White and they had piƱatas and cake and ice cream. We stayed for a little while and helped them clean up after the party was over. They are really nice people. Yeah, it is really cool because the other day when we were meeting with them, the mom of Gerson (the dad) became interested in the Gospel. I know that she felt the Spirit and we are now teaching her. It is so great to see families come together and come to Christ.

So the food down here is really good. I have had a lot of chicken, rice, bread, and beans. Also a lot of Hot Chocolate and kolashanpan. I never thought that I would have hot chocolate here because you drink it when it´s cold, not hot. Oh well, it is nice to have.

To answer the question Emma asked, yes they have Doctor Pepper down here. But it is only in Walmart, which I have in my area :) Also, I am allowed to drink it.
Well, that is great that everything is going well at home and that the House is moving along. Tell Sean and Teresa thank you for the help that they have given. Tell everyone hi for me and that I love them all.

Oh before I forget, I heard that for my phone calls we get to skype. So, yeah, just so you know. Also, do you know if they have piano music for Marshal Macdonalds song the Master´s Hand? It is a really cool song. Well, thanks for all that you do and I love you guys a ton. Keep up the great work and I will see you in 2!

One of the pictures is of the Burger King kid. Never thought I´d see him again! Also, you don´t have to put the pictures of the drawings that I drew on the blog. They aren´t that great but I just wanted to share the scriptures with you guys.

Hey Ty!
That is great that you had a great birthday. Sounds like you got some pretty cool things.

Well everything down here is going really great. There are a lot of hills and a lot of trees here in El Salvador, and it is really hot. Oh yeah, there are a ton of Geckos down here too. They are so fun to watch. They run around on the walls and snatch bugs from the air. They are really fast.

Well that is cool that you beat Demise. Sorry you had to wait so long to finally beat him. My bad. That is also great that you got a 4.0! Keep up the great work. That is great that Eric is going to get his call this week and that Skyler is turning in his papers. I am really excited that Skyler is going.

Well Ty, I love you a ton and hope that all goes well. Keep up the great work and always remember to turn to the Lord for help. He is always there and is always willing to help. We just have to ask Him.

Well, you will have to go on some double dates with Matt in place of me. Also, is Matt dating anyone right now? I can´t ask him because he won´t tell me, so that is why I am asking you. ;) haha Well Ty, I love you a ton and hope that all goes well at home. Work hard and you will be blessed tremendously. (spelling?) See you in 2!

From Matt to Bryce:

About a year and a half into my mission, there was a day that I felt inadequate to my challenges and my work. I struggled with the thoughts that I wasn't able to accomplish all that I wanted to yet, and I still felt like I was just getting to know Preach My Gospel. Now, don't understand me wrong - I studied Preach My Gospel a lot, yet I still felt like I lacked so much. It was in that moment of my pondering that I almost heard a voice tell me "You will always fill inadequate - there is always more to learn." And I realized that it doesn't matter where we are right now in this moment. God knows our situation and our weaknesses, yet He loves us and will use what we DO know to help and bless others. Bryce, always remember that. It doesn't matter that you are a new missionary right now. How much time you have in the mission does NOT affect your effectiveness as a missionary, but the Spirit that is with you will determine if you have success or not. In the first chapter of PMG under "A successful missionary", notice that it doesn't say something like "know everything" or "baptize everyone". Be your very best and you will have success.

To Matt:

Hola mi hermano!
Well, it is great to hear from you. Yeah, I can´t believe that it is already the second week. Time really does fly here. Thank you for that inspiration message. I will always remember it. Yeah things here are going fantastic. We have some families that we are teaching and they are just great. Also, there are some recent converts who have family members who are now listening to us. It is so great to see families come together and come unto Christ. There is truly nothing better to do than missionary work.

Well, today I ate something really crazy, Hot Cereal. Yes, we used like Zucaritas but the milk was hot. It was really weird but really tasty. We have also had a lot of hot chocolate. I never thought that I would have hot chocolate because you think of drinking it when it is cold, not hot. But almost everyday we have a cup of hot chocolate. There is some weird stuff that they eat down here. Oh well, the food is great.

Well, I love you a ton bro and look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for all that you do and for your great example. I can´t wait for the moment when spanish just clicks in my brain. I can understand most of it when I really concentrate and focus on what they are saying. Man, that is going to be a great day when that happens. Well, keep up the great work and keep me posted.  I love you a ton and will see you in 2!

Alma 43: 45, 49-50
"Nevertheless, the Nephites were inspired by a better cause, for they were not fighting for monarchy nor power but they were fighting for their homes and their liberties, their wives and their children, and their all, yea for their rites of worship and their church.
"And it came to pass that they turned upon the Lamanites, and they cried with one voice unto the Lord their God, for their liberty and their freedom from bondage.
"And they began to stand against the Lamanites with power; and in that selfsame hour that they cried unto the Lord for their freedom, the Lamanites began to flee before them; and they fled even to the waters of Sidon."
