Guatemala CCM
Entrance of the Guatemala CCM
Well, things here are going just great. That is great to hear that Grandpa and Wendy and Maci are doing great. I have been really praying for them. How is Uncle Brent doing? Is his leg getting better?
I think that answers all of the questions, so time for a quick story. So, after we left the airport, we meet the person to take us to the CCM. So, we loaded our luggage on a school bus and this guy stops me and asks if he can shine my shoes. Me not knowing what is going on am like UHHHH. So, he says it will only take 2 minutes and he sits down and gets everything ready. So, I went along with it. He started shining my shoes, when our guide person asks me, "How much is he asking for it?" I suddenly realized that I didn`t even know how much this would cost. So luckily the guide was there and he asked the man how much it would cost, and he said it would only be a dollar. I was so relived when I heard that, because I thought that I would be paying a lot more. Anyways, he did a really good job and he was really fast. So I think it was worth the one dollar. Anyways I love you all so much and am glad to hear that everything is going well. Man, I`m forgetting how to spell things. It is really weird.
Anyway, in my district I have Elder Frame, Elder Hendricksen, Elder Jacobs, Elder Johnston (my friend from school), Elder McDougal, Elder Draper, Elder Glass, Elder Gardner, Elder Harumi, Elder Heiner, and then my compañero Elder Funk.
Anyway, I haven`t heard or seen anything about a volcano. So, yeah. The food here is AMAZING! I don`t know how to explain it, but it is really good. They have diffferent kinds of fruit drinks like watermelon juice, piña juice, and cantaloupe juice. I accidentally drank some of the cantaloupe juice the other day. I didn`t know what it was and I wanted to try it, so I did. I took a little sip of it, and I realized, Oh no, this is cantaloupe. So I quickly drank the rest in my cup because I didn`t want to waste it. They get really offended down here if you don`t finish your food. Luckily I haven`t gotten sick yet. The best thing here is that we get a snack before we go to bed. It is so awesome! Yesterday I got some Emperadors, those chocolate cookie things we got at home. They are so good. Anyway, I did okay on the flight. My ears did okay too. I got a little bit of sleep, and they let us take a little nap after we got here. Luckily everything made it to Guatemala, except for the silver (Docker Tag) thing on the outside of the suitcase. Now they both are missing the silver thing.

Yo what is happening my brother!? Well things are going pretty good here. It is really weird though, I can`t believe that I am actually in Guatemala. I honestly still feel like I am in the U.S. Anyway, it is amazing at how much Spanish I can understand. The only problem is figuring out how to say it in Spanish. Oh well, it will come. What recommendations do you have to best learn the language?

To Matt:
Yesterday we had the opportunity to talk to some natives at the temple. That was really fun. They were very nice and patient with us gringos. Anyway, if you have any good advice for me, feel free to give me some.
Well, I love you a ton and am grateful to have you as a brother. Tell everyone hi and that I love them.
Also ask Shane, What Happened?
