Well, things here are going really great. I can`t believe that it is already my p-day again. Weird. Anyway, to quickly answer your questions.
1. I am not sure when I am leaving for El Salvador, but I think that it is the 23 of October.
2. I am flying to El Salvador. I just hope that I will be able to keep my bags under the weight limits, if they are different.
3. I have pictures from the old district and zone but not from the new one. They took our cameras the first day we got here because they have had problems with cameras and stuff getting stolen. So they hold on to them. We do get to take pictures like 2 days the whole time we are here. Oh well.
4. Yes I have been taking pictures, but I can`t send any until I am out in the field.
5. We get to go to the temple once a week. It was really crazy because everything was in Spanish. I also had to say everything in Spanish which was really hard, especially because it was really hard to understand the guy. And second, I don`t know Spanish very well.
6. Well, things with Elder F are going alright. I sure have had to make some adjustments. It is going alright though. We get along pretty well.
7. Yes, I see Elder Marriott a lot. The CCM here is so small, that you pretty much know everyone here. Well, I think that that answers all of the questions.
Well, that is really cool that you are helping that family. They sound like really nice people and I hope that everything goes well. Also, did you happen to give Jimmy his letter? Just curious. Also, I had a question about whether you guys think it is ok to get some stuff from the market they have here. They come every Saturday and they really have some cool stuff. And also, if it is ok, do I have money in my account to take some out with the ATM here? Just let me know.
Well, this week has really flown by. The food here is AMAZING! You never know what we are going to get. We`ve had Chinese food, Pizza, a lot of beans and rice, and a lot of just really good food. I have gained almost 10 pounds from eating so much! just kidding. I haven't gained any weight, but I have been eating a ton of food.
My district here is awesome, we really get along well. Our teacher, Hermano Bonilla, is awesome. He is so funny and he is really nice. At first he really intimidated me, because he just sat at the front of the room and just stared out at us the first night we met him. Anyway, he is really cool.
The other day, we got to play foot volleyball. It is like volleyball, but you can use anything other than your hands. It was really fun. When ever a team would lose a round, a member of the team would have to say a sentence in Spanish using the word or principle we learned that day. It was really fun. Also, the losing team gets to play charades, or they have to do the acting and we get to guess. It is a lot of fun.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to take on the role of an investigator. It was a really interesting experience. We have 6 companionships in the district so we have 3 as investigators and 3 as the missionaries. We are rotating and having them be progressing investigators. It is a really neat experience.
Well, Monday is going to be a really crazy day. We get to go proselyting. I am so excited but also am very nervous. We may or may not have a Latino companion with us. There are a lot of Americans, and not so many Latinos, so we will see who lucks out and gets a Latino companion.
Well, tell everyone that I love them and that I hope all goes well with school and soccer.
Hasta Ver!
Elder Bryce Hales
