That is great that you guys received my letter. And thanks for the music. I was really excited to have that great news.
Well, everything here in El Salvador has been going just fantastic. We did have changes last Wednesday, but me and Elder Leonardo are still together! WHOO HOO! Also we are in the same area. We had a baptism on Saturday and we got two fechas de bautismal (baptism dates). I actually got to do the baptizing too, which was really neat. It was for a 9 year old boy who's mom had been baptized when she was 15 or so, but had been inactive for more or less 26 years. So, we have reactivated the mom and have now baptized her son. It was really great. Also, the two people who have baptisimal dates. One is a man who has attended church for a long time but has never been baptized. We had a really great lesson with him, Jorge Duran, in the baptismal font room. The Spirit was so strong. Especially when you put them in the font (without water of course). The Spirit really is strong in there. We have a baptismal date for him in January, because there are somethings that he needs to overcome, but we are helping him. The second person that has a baptismal date, is Hermana Elizabeth. She has been really interested in the gospel and was a refrence from a member. We have been teaching her and her family and they all are really positive. The rest of her family just has somethings they need to work out before they are baptized, but it isn't anything serious. We have the date for her on the 28 of December. That lesson was really powerful too. We had it in the house of the Bishop and the Spirit was really strong.
Also during the week, we had some other really great lessons. One of them was right after our lesson with Jorge Duran. We went and taught a less active member, Hermana Delmi, and we taught about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That lesson was super powerful too. I love teaching the Atonement. The more and more that we talk about it, apply it, and see it work in the lives of others, the more I love our Savior. I had really studied the Atonement one day, and there were somethings that I was a little confused about (especially from the talk "The Meaning of the Atonement" by Cleon Skousen) but with every day, things start to make sense. It is really amazing.
This week has just been amazing. Even though Elder Leonardo was really sick for 2 days, we still got a lot done. Yeah, the party at the Presidents house was really fun. We played a lot of games and stuff. Kind of like the games we played with the Hales family that one time. Where we had a bunch of mini games like keeping 3 balloons in the air for a minute, bounce a ball into a container, etc. It was really fun. We also had a really good discussion about the Christmas season, and this is something that we have been teaching a lot about lately. The birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have really grown to love that story. The more and more I read it and teach it, the more I love it. Just like the Book of Mormon. The more and more that I read it, the more I learn, and the more I love it. The Book of Mormon is probably the best book ever. I really love it. The stories and teachings in there are just amazing. We have been challenged to finish the Book of Mormon by Christmas (starting from when we got here) and then after that, starting again and finishing it by April 6. I would like to challenge you guys too, to start the Book of Mormon and finish it by April 6. I know that if you will do this that you will be greatly blessed and that you will feel more of the Spirit in your lives.

Well, thanks for all that you guys do for me and for the love and support you give. Tell Pops and Matt that I will pray for them for their finals, and that I know that they will do just fine. Because we have God on our side, and anything is possible if we have His help. Well, I love you guys and will talk to you later!

Well, here are two more pictures. One of them is another one of my ok drawings, and the other is of a huge spider that was in our sink/tub thing in the back yard. It was huge! We took care of it though, with a stick, a lighter, and Off! Yes, we flamed it. We also flamed some caterpillers that had been eating our trees. The spider took forever to die. It kept on avoiding the flame. But we were victorious!

Yeah the spider was really creepy. But it was all good. You'll have to get Ty to start dating. He will have to learn to enjoy it, because that is what he is going to be doing a lot of after his mission. Well, I got to go. I love you guys so much and will talk to you next week!
Mi amado hermano Matt,
Mi amado hermano Matt,
I have been thinking that I need to read that Ensign during this last week actually. So, I will read it as soon as I can. You want to know something really cool, I had just studied what you taught me the other day. I was reading in Alma 32 where it talks about faith is like a seed. It talks about how to experiment to see if the seed is good and such, but then it says if that's all we need to do. No, it says that we have to nurture the seed and take good care of it so that it will bring forth fruit. I learned that this is part of enduring to the end. We have to constantly nurture our tree by reading the scriptures, praying, going to church, serving, etc. and if we do these things, we are promised the blessings of God (the fruit) which is "most sweet above all that is sweet". Now, who doesn't want to have this fruit? No one. Everyone wants to have the blessings of God and they want to partake of the fruit. We just have to be diligent and have patience and long suffering in nurturing our tree. Yesterday we taught this to some less active members, and it went really well. Well my brother, I love you a ton, and I wish you the best of luck on your finals. I know that you will do just fine, because God is with us. And we can do anything if we have God with us. Well, until next time, my brother!

How is everything going? Probably when you read this, you will be done with your test, but I just want you to know that I am praying for you. I know that you will do just fine and that the Lord will help you. He has helped you thus far and He will not abandon you.
Hey, I had a question. It probably is to late, but I was just wondering if you could see if I could transfer my Biotech credit from Salt Lake Community College to Weber State. I think it might be to late, but I was just wondering if you could look into that for me.
Well, Pops, it is great to hear that you are almost done with school. This will be a huge blessing for you and for our family. I love you so much and am truly grateful for all the things that you have taught me. For being a hard worker, and for all of the skills that you have taught me. Thanks. Well, I guess I will talk to you next week!
Love,
