September 22, 2012 Letter Home
Dear Familia,
Well, How are things going? How is school and soccer going? Oh yeah, if Shane has given you the stuff I sent home, you should have gotten my yellow tie. I sent it home because it got pen on it. I tried to get it dry cleaned at the MTC, but I was too late. So I was wondering if you could get the pen out. (I tried with hand sanitizer, it did alright.) Then if you wanted to you could send it back, or let someone at home use it. You decide.
I was also wondering if you could send me a copy of Marshal McDonald's songs. I have to play a special musical number tomorrow, and I was really wishing I had that music. Oh well.
Well, things here are pretty good. I talked to Elder James yesterday and he was helping me with my companion. Yeah it is pretty difficult, but I know I am suppose to learn something. He is really struggling with Spanish, so I have to do a lot of the talking in the lessons. (Which is not like me.) It has really helped me out though with learning Spanish. It is something that I will have to work with.
Anyway, it is really nice here in Guatemala. It is never too hot or too cold. It has also rained a lot! Things here run differently than in the Provo MTC. It doesn't seem like it would, but it does.
Oh, before I forget... on lds.org there are some songs that you guys should listen to. You can get to them (and download them and maybe send them on a cd, don't worry, they're hymns or hymn worthy) Anyway, you can get to them by going to the Conference link under teachings, or one of those tabs, then click all music on the side. The two songs are: "I Love the Lord" and "This is the Christ" (I almost wrote Jesus the Christ.) They are really good songs. Oh also if you could send me the song "Savior Redeemer of My Soul".
I don't know what else to write about. Every day has been basically the same day over and over again, with a lot of Spiritual experiences. If you could send me some addresses of family, that would be great!
Hasta Ver!
Semper Fi,
Elder Bryce Rodney Hales
